Welcome!
Hello! I am Allison Jordan, a current junior studying at Hobart and William Smith Colleges. This website is used as a portfolio and a sharing of my experiences and growth as a leader. I have been a part of my school's leadership program, the Centennial Center for Leadership, for the past three years, and here is what I have learned and stand for.
MY Leadership Philosophy
Listen to others and make it a goal to understand, for we can only grow and become better when we make that effort. Know when you need to stand up and when you need to sit down. Be able to stand for what you believe in, and be an advocate for those who cannot. Knowing how to collaborate and communicate well is key. Admitting mistakes when you are wrong and grow from them. Helping others find their path as you continue yours. Lastly, be confident, proud, and listen.
Ethical Statement
Don't Judge others beliefs, nor try to persuade them to follow something they are not completely comfortable with. Abide by your morals truthfully. Trust and honesty are more powerful and effective than force and anger. Be mindful of what others may be going through, they may look one way on the outside, but feel different on the inside. To that note, don't judge a book by its cover. When it comes to my ethical beliefs, the Golden Rule, "Treat Others The Way You Want to Be Treated,” is probably the most important
